Windows service for application access to downloaded maps. This service is started on-demand by application accessing downloaded maps. Disabling this service will prevent apps from accessing maps.
The Downloaded Maps Manager service is running as NT AUTHORITY\NetworkService in its own process of svchost.exe. No other services run in the same process. If Downloaded Maps Manager fails to start, the error is logged. Windows 10 startup proceeds, but a message box is displayed informing you that the MapsBroker service has failed to start.
Downloaded Maps Manager is unable to start, if theRemote Procedure Call (RPC)service is stopped or disabled.
1. Select your Windows 10 edition and release, and then click on theDownloadbutton below.
2. Save theRestoreDownloadedMapsManagerWindows10.batfile to any folder on your hard drive.
3. Right-click the downloaded batch file and selectRun as administrator.
Note. Make sure that themoshost.dllfile exists in the%WinDir%\System32folder. If this file is missing you can try to restore it from your Windows 10 installation media.
